Dual Enrollment Assistant Director
Position Summary
The Assistant Director will oversee Dual Enrollment (undergraduate classes for high school students) and serve as an Advisor and Coordinator. Responsible for coordinating services provided to high schools participating in dual enrollment programs, including admissions, testing, registration, and class schedules, as well as providing assistance to HS students, instructors, and administrators with DE processes. Working on various pre-college tasks including summer and/or Academic Year programming.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Within the scope of college policies and procedures, this position:
- Coordinates all aspects of the dual enrollment programs, including the collection and data entry of admissions, registration; providing informational presentations; working collaboratively with college departments
- Conducts training for high school counselors to ensure knowledge of support resources, college policies, registration, and enrollment processes.
- Develop and conduct a Dual Enrollment orientation for all newly admitted DE high school students.
- Attends school information meetings, parent meetings, fairs, various presentations
- Contacts and developed partnership agreements with schools and districts
- Contacts and developed partnership agreements with various MSU schools and Colleges to increase DE student programs within the disciplines.
- Maintains and updates dual enrollment application system
- Handles the Designated Course List (DCL). This includes the yearly survey, auditing the list, and creation.
- Provides organization support to divisions by maintaining and tracking information, ensures data integrity, compiles reports, maintains dual enrollment records to include assurance alignment forms, syllabi for each dual enrollment course and instructor; prepares enrollment reports and maintains point of contact information for district.
- Verifies and monitors student enrollment; makes recommendations on process improvements and dual enrollment guidelines as needed; assists with development and implementation of new programs and course offerings.
- Monitors status of dual enrollment numbers and overall program effectiveness. Identifies other appropriate performance/activity metrics and captures and analyzes collected data. Apprises supervisor of progress toward and attainment of enrollment goals.
- Monitor budgets and create budget reports on a semester basis to submit to the reporting fiscal officer.
- Advises students on classes to enroll in based on interest, transfer credit, and graduation requirements.
- Meets with Admissions, Honors College, Advisors, billing, MSU department contacts regularly for updated reciprocal DE information dissemination.
- Ability to organize and chair meetings, lead workshops, facilitate group discussions.
- Contact and meet regularly with the Michigan Department of Education, MCAN, Michigan legislators, and any state school administrators to develop DE for students and maintain updates to DE laws and policies.
- Assist to maintain the DE website to keep up to date with all processes, procedures including the DE application.
- Handles any various office job duties assigned by the Administrative Assistant, or Directors.
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and various day schedules.
- Availability to travel mostly in state, including overnight stays.
- Working with university to report all data for accreditation, pre-college, admissions, SIS, etc.

Minimum Requirements
Experienced working in a busy, multi-faceted program or department, preferably in a university
Worked in pre-college or K-12
Worked in higher education Ability to pass a criminal background check and have a valid drivers license
Abilities/Skills:
Skilled at communicating in writing and orally, including public speaking.
Skilled at conflict resolution and collaborating with others to build consensus.
Skilled at working with computer systems and databases (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CANVA, Adobe).
Skilled at handling multiple projects and carrying out required project details.
