Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

Under the general direction of senior research staff, the research aide will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assist in research activities. The candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, an ability to take direction, strong organization skills, flexibility in a shifting environment, and critical thinking skills. Core job responsibilities include supporting the site Research Assistant (RA) in research endeavors, navigating site electronic medical records (EMR) to identify eligible patients for recruitment, assisting with planning, scheduling, and confirming participant appointments. Responsibilities also include collecting study documents and organizing for RA review, coordinating inventory assessments, and updating study tracking systems.

Desired Qualifications

Experience working with human patients in a medical setting
Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) databases
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
