Position Summary
This position will play a key role in the Plant Science Research Greenhouse Facility at Michigan State University. The greenhouses have over 100,000 sq. ft. of research space and serve over 70 faculty in eight academic departments at MSU. The Greenhouse Coordinator will oversee the maintenance and care of greenhouses facilities and equipment and provide advice to researchers regarding use of the greenhouse facility and plant care.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Horticulture; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in horticulture practices, greenhouse operations or maintenance and supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and may require certification as a Commercial Pesticide Applicator prior to the end of applicable trial/probation period.
