Position Summary

The Department of Psychology at Michigan State University is recruiting a faculty member with expertise in organizational psychology or a related field for a tenure system appointment at the associate or advanced assistant professor level starting Fall 2025. The ideal candidate will have established a strong program of visible research, a history of (or clear potential for) external funding, and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in a) undergraduate and graduate teaching, and b) diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are particularly interested in applicants researching issues related to workforce health and well-being, leadership, motivation, selection, teams, diversity and inclusion, work redesign, workforce development, and data science applications to the workplace. In addition, the College of Social Science at Michigan State University sponsors a cross-disciplinary initiative related to the Future of Work and scholars who can contribute to this thematic area are also encouraged to apply.
The candidate recruited for this position would join an active, intellectually diverse, and productive group of scholars interested in organizational and work behavior in the Department of Psychology (https://psychology.msu.edu/programs/organizational/index.html) as well as elsewhere in the university and College of Social Science. Due to the diversity of our interests, graduate students in Psychology at Michigan State University are exposed to a variety of ways of thinking and methodologies for conducting research, and our faculty pursue ideas that cross the boundaries separating conventional domains of research. Required Degree
Doctorate -Psychology or related field
Minimum Requirements
- Ph.D. in psychology at time of hire or related field and experience in a faculty position

- Applying for and success in obtaining extramural funding
- Excellence in teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels
